2. How Will Access to the Space Work?
We’re operating with a secure keypad/smart lock system. When you join, we assign a unique code just for you. To log in, simply type your code, hit the button, and voilà—the lock opens! Once inside, lock the door unless you're expecting someone. Remember, if the door is open, you might end up helping with a quick question or signing for a package.
3. Is Spark Commons Still Open 24/7?Yes! Our doors are still open to you anytime, day or night. Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, if you’re here, the space is yours.
4. Mail and Packages: Keeping Things Organized and Secure
We’ve got a system in place to make sure mail and packages reach you smoothly! Here’s how it works:
5. How Do I Book Conference Rooms, Phone Booths, etc.?
Booking a resource is easy with our portal at spark-commons.cobot.me. Log in, head to the calendar, and select “make a booking” to reserve a space. Remember, it’s more important than ever to book in advance to avoid conflicts with other members.
7. Are Memberships or Pricing Changing?
There may be adjustments to memberships in 2025, but we’ll honor existing memberships for six months after any change. Punch cards are now exclusive to existing members to maintain a safe, familiar community. They will soon be available in the resources section of the portal!
8. How Will Payments and Renewals Work?
Payments and renewals are still managed through Cobot, our member portal, and continue to auto-renew just as before. No changes here!
9. What About Security and Cleanliness?
We’re upgrading our cameras to maintain a safe environment, and we’ll only monitor footage if an issue arises. We also have a monthly cleaning crew and will keep an eye out throughout the week. Your help keeping the space tidy is much appreciated—if you spot anything that needs attention, let us know through the Help Desk or email.
10. Will Holly and Maureen Still Be Around?
Absolutely! While we’ve both got some big work commitments, we’ll still be here. You can catch Holly most Tuesdays, and Maureen will continue working from her desk. Plus, Dina Liberatore, one of our desk-mates, will be around to help keep things running smoothly. We’re all here to ensure Spark Commons remains a fantastic place to work. There is good change and bad change. We think this is a good change.
We’re thrilled to bring these changes to Spark Commons, adding more flexibility and ownership to your workspace experience. The self-service model is all about giving you the autonomy to make the space work best for you. If you have any questions or feedback, reach out—we’re always here to help make Spark Commons even better.
